Dreaming to Losing to Winning a Journey to It Works!
Dreaming to Losing to Winning a Journey to It Works!
Bruce Coleman aka The Poetic Preacher was born in New Orleans and moved to Houston before Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. Coleman always was a creative man. Always saw himself doing creative things like film, art, and music. Coleman even saw himself as an entrepreneur. Excelling at poetry and journalism in high school, winning many first place poetry contest, even one of his best wins with NAACP, 500 dollars, and trip to New York was his best highlights of his life. He also excelled at journalism being the copy page editor and designer of a Newspaper called Our Voice a city wide News Paper published throughout New Orleans.
But it was Coleman desire to rap when he first got into rap music in the early 90’s, rap was the new journalism for young men in those days. His first news of rap came from hearing his first rap song by A Southern Rapper Known as Scarface. The name of the song was “Never Seen a Man Cry, Until I seen a Man I die.” When he heard that song he was in love with Hip Hop, powerful emotions and feelings was awoken in Coleman when he heard it. Then from that moment on dreamed of having his own label. During those times Coleman saw Percy Miller aka Master P and his Label No Limit Record for the first time, a man not only from his hometown, but a man who was living the same dream he had of running his own label.
16 years later Coleman found himself when he decided to drop his first Christian Rap album in 2012, he thought he would have that chance to build his label and his albums would sale and give him the income to pursue such a dream. Coleman though he built it they would come, like would with his album if he makes they will buy it, but the dreams of a lucrative career seemed impossible. He dropped to more albums after that, one in 2013 of January, and the other one in 2014 before the summer. His last album was his best accomplishment getting 4 stars out of 5 from a professional reviewer. But Coleman said no matter how passionate he was about the music he couldn’t get no records sales. Maybe just being an internet rapper was a bad move, seeing that Coleman didn’t believe in doing gigs and shows, for the whole confusion with who are you praising and worshiping me or God Almighty or me the personification of a music star.
After 2 years of not dropping albums, which Coleman hates. “I don’t like that I haven’t dropped and no albums for 2015 or 2016, because the goal was to drop and album a year, Coleman says. Coleman was depressed, he felt like a loser, he was mad at Christians and a lot of Christian Rappers, pointing fingers and blaming everyone for him not being successful at rap music. Making rants and negative post on Facebook. Coleman basically allowed his love for music and the passion he has for it stress him out instead of being a blessing.
Coleman at the moment was picking himself back up, he met a sister in Christ on Facebook named Victoria Barnes, who was filling him up with positive energy and inspiration through her post and positive outlook on life. At the moment Coleman read Romans Chapter 14 and realized he needed to respect people mind, according to scripture. “Where ever a person is in life then I have to respect that, if a man chose to go to church compared to a man who didn’t but still follows the Holy Bible who am I to judge either one because in God Almighty’s eyes if they both living in faith then neither one of them is wrong.” Coleman says. We too busy as Christians pointing the fingers at what’s wrong with each other instead of respecting where our minds are.
So when Victoria approached Coleman about being her customer for her It Works! products, which is a global Health company which sales a lot of health products you are familiar with in your average store or health store. Coleman says, “I felt it was right to bless the sister and help her out. Because I felt like she lifted me up in such away why not by a product. So I had picked the Ultimate ThermoFit which is a weight loss dietary supplement and two other combo products to go with it, so I can get maximum support for losing weight.” Then a couple of days later Coleman decided to come on as distributor under Barnes.
“I Just want to be able to have a second income where I can support my Rap Music, and eventually build my own record label, I couldn’t just do that with my income I use to pay bills and survive with day to day so a second income was necessary to what I do and want to accomplish,” Coleman says. “If you’re in need of a second income, then It Works! could be the right business for you. My team I’m under and that support me is a God Almighty fearing team, we want to make money but it’s also about lifting each other up and making sure we have a positive state of mind. Either you can be a customer or distributor.”
“If you want to help a brother in Christ reach his dream of having his own Christian Rap record label, where I can use it to mold and shape communities around me, blessing me means I’ll be able to bless more people in the future. So give me a call at 713-588-9389 and/or log on to my sight at

Smile cause jesus got you
No matter what you are facing just smile cause you have a savior. Jesus isn't looking at any of our problems saying "oh now this one is going to be too much for me"...
We are already victorious through him. I wanted to share this song for you from a talented Christian rapper who I am really enjoying listening to today. Remember you are the church 24/7.
